Taylor

Taylor Swift may be the most unusual of pop stars: an artist capable of successfully cross the divide between country and pop and conquer the world. Swift let go of the influences from her country music in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin. She revealed that she was among the best singers/songwriters of her generation. Swift could make the event personal and use it for her benefit. The skills she displayed are evident in some of the first songs she released, most notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless that came out in 2008, she was able to discover who she is and find an audience that was large. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States and six of the singles were certified platinum on the back of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across all over the world. Swift's next album Speak Now, released almost two years after the first one, consolidated the success of this album. The album propelled Swift to the heights of fame. In the three albums following (Reputation 2017, 1989 2014, and Red 2012) Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 and Reputation 2017 -- Swift's popularity only increased. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered a new pop world which she was able to fit into. As she cut her style by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore, and Evermore, she still remained in the top spot. The position was defended through re-recordings of her previous catalogue as along with Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
