Sheryl underwood is an American actress, comedian and television host most well-known for her work in The Talk's daytime co-host role. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas and has been raised within Little Rock, Atwater and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by an extremely difficult household. Sheryl spent the majority of her youth helping her younger sister Frankie and her polio-infected sister. While growing up, she suffered an uneasy relationship with her mother. Sheryl said that at one instance, she was stabbed by her mother her father as she got close to him. Sheryl joined the military after her graduation from college. But her passion was comedy. She was the first woman to reach the top of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV career started in 1992, as an actor on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as host of the TV program Oh Drama! Since 2011, she's been being a co-host for The Talk, a talk show. The Talk. In addition she has also played fictional roles in series such as Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
